ONSIGHT PRIVACY POLICY
Operator: Corona Forged Tech
Reviewed app: OnSight 2.3 (Build 27)
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Status: Pre-release draft pending final device and operational verification.
Overview
OnSight is an on-device directory for storing, reviewing, searching and exporting subject photographs and identifying records. The reviewed app does not synchronize its records to a Corona Forged Tech server or iCloud.
Information entered and processed
Depending on what the user chooses to enter, records can contain names, aliases or monikers, dates of birth, sex and race descriptions, driver's license numbers, optional case numbers, notes and photographs. The app also maintains recently viewed record identifiers and settings for its optional app lock and haptic feedback. Photos can be imported from the user's photo library or captured with the iPhone camera. Camera images captured in the app are not automatically saved to the Photos library.
Storage and security
Subject records and normalized photograph copies are saved within the iPhone's app storage as a local JSON file. The app uses the iOS sandbox and complete file protection and excludes its private vault from automatic device backups. New records are not protected by an additional app-specific encryption layer. Optional Face ID/device authentication restricts opening the directory but does not separately encrypt its underlying records. Device compromise or someone with access to unlocked or exported files can present privacy risks.
Cloud services, analytics and advertising
No CloudKit synchronization, remote record upload, advertising SDK, analytics SDK or cross-app tracking functionality was identified in the reviewed Build 27 source. The app's included Apple privacy manifest declares no app-collected data and no tracking. Data practices should be rechecked whenever new services or SDKs are introduced.
PDF exports and sharing
When a user exports a record, OnSight creates a PDF containing selected subject details and photographs and saves it locally in the app's OnSight Exports folder. The user can choose to save, email or share the PDF using iOS sharing options. The receiving app, mail provider or recipient then controls their own copy. Exported PDFs are separate snapshots: editing or deleting the source record does not update or delete PDFs already created. Users must separately manage exported files and shared copies.
Record deletion and retention
Deleting a subject moves its record, including stored photos, into a local Recently Deleted area. The app allows restoration for up to 30 days, and expired deleted entries are removed when the vault is opened and cleanup runs. Users can also permanently delete a recently deleted entry. Deleting a record does not automatically remove previously exported PDFs, externally shared files, or copies retained by recipients. Uninstalling the app removes its app-contained data subject to iOS behavior, but user-saved external copies can remain.
Permissions and choices
Users control what subject information they enter, whether they grant camera or photo-selection access, whether they enable the optional app lock, and which records they export or share. Applicable device permissions can be managed in iOS Settings.
Intended use and responsibility
Because users may enter sensitive personal information about other people, users are responsible for having an appropriate legal basis and organizational authorization to collect, use, disclose and retain those records, and for securing any exported PDFs.
Privacy contact and policy changes
For privacy questions or assistance, contact [email protected] and mention OnSight. Do not include sensitive subject records in an initial email. This policy may be revised as app behavior changes.
Final release verification
Confirm Build 27 behavior on a physical iPhone, including local-only storage, backup exclusion, file protection, optional lock, 30-day deletion, permanent deletion and PDF exports. Confirm whether support requests or future services collect additional information before using this as the final App Store privacy policy.
